How can we help you? TMcK offer a full & bespoke market research service that is always suited to our clients needs. TMcK has a natural instinct for qualitative market research (possibly due to the curious nature of all our staff who just love asking questions) and we have all the facilities here to manage ad hoc research.
Examples of qualitative research projects:
Whether it’s a large scale social research project, gauging the success of a recent campaign, opinion polling or you simply want to find out what people would be willing to pay for your product; you need to ask the right questions to the right people in the right way.
At TMcK we provide a bespoke solution to all quantitative research projects we conduct. Questionnaire design, fieldwork, data processing, analysis & reporting are all done in-house. As such we have tried and tested methods for data capture whilst offering excellent value to our clients.
CAPI @ TMcK – Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing or CAPI is a relatively new technology & its success has been hindered somewhat by finding a suitable & stable medium with which to host the CAPI software. Those that have been in the industry for more than 10 years may fondly recall the ‘laptops’ that used to do the rounds – you know the ones in the massive metal cases with the processing power of a wristwatch! This is not to say that the results achieved with these computers were not useful, far from it, however the size & expense of the hardware made CAPI highly inappropriate for most surveys. Fast forward a few years and TMcK have embraced CAPI in a big way thanks to our continued investment in the latest handheld PDA’s (Personal Digital Assistants). The recent advances in technology combined with cutting edge software not only mean that conducting paperless interviews is far more practical, it also allows all the great benefits of CAPI without any of the associated drawbacks. – Find out more
CATI @ TMcK – Computer Aided Telephone Interviewing or CATI technology has been around for sometime now & is a great way to get in touch with your customers / potential customers and the public to gauge opinion. TMcK hosts an in-house CATI unit with 3 terminals, ideal for our small to medium sized quantitative projects. By employing the latest software TMcK is able to host a remote CATI unit for larger scale / quick turnaround projects.
TMcK can offer quantitative research across the following mediums: Online / Door-to-door / in street / event / on-trade / Hall Tests / Telephone surveys

Qualitative Fieldwork @ TMcK TMcK has a vast network of experienced & trusted recruiters (75+) based around the U.K & Ireland and there is no job too rural, too complicated or with too quick a turnaround for us.
We have built up a strong relationship with all of our qualitative recruiters over the years and have a reputation as a nice company to work for. This may seem trivial but makes all the difference when a deadline is tight and you need your recruiters to go the extra mile for you.
We are full company members of MRS & ESOMAR and all of our interviewers are fully trained and aware of their duties. We prior check 10% - 100% (depending on scope of project) of all respondents recruited to ensure that MRS recruitment guidelines are followed and respondents are to spec.
Our in-house fieldwork team can take the pressure off your hands by doing it all - from designing screeners; supervising recruitment; managing schedules and timeframes; booking venues; overall project management and providing a single point of contact for all your fieldwork needs, regardless of the geography of the interviews.

TMcK has a U.K. wide field force of over 100 recruiters & interviewers each with years of experience in the field. As every project varies in its sensitivity / target audience it is vital that the correct personnel are selected to maximise response and improve interviewer-respondent interaction. TMcK’s wide-ranging team affords the ability to choose a select and well-suited team for each project. All our interviewers are trained to MRS standards; have previous CAPI (Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing) experience with our handheld PDA’s and are both reliable and conscientious.
TMcK has fully embraced CAPI technology and use the very latest wireless PDA’s (Personal Digital Assistants) to conduct its face-to-face interviews out in field. The benefits of this technology are numerous
TMcK also host online and email surveys and have a comprehensive CATI (Computer Aided Telephone Interviewing) facility.
In TMcK’s experience all large-scale field projects carry the risk of poor data capture. This can take the form of misinterpreted questions and questionnaire fatigue – potentially causing interviewers to ask leading questions and/or take shortcuts.
In order to counter this TMcK keeps its field force highly motivated by having an open dialogue with each individual field team member, with quota sheets to be completed and a weekly update / data upload session.
TMcK use Computer Aided Personal Interviewing (CAPI). This is hugely beneficial in helping to enforce our strict quality control measures.
Our software has a ‘hidden’ code that monitors interview start time & duration. It is TMcK’s policy to check every single questionnaire for any discrepancy in time / day of interview & time taken to complete interviews. In conjunction with this TMcK back check at least 10% of all interviews carried out.
